SG Showdown Grand Event (10th - 11th Sep) Results!

Event Venue:

Asia Cards Shop (Bishan)

Time (for both days):

- 1200 to 1300 (Registration)
- 1300 (Start)
- 1900 (Projected Ending Time)

Instructions for all qualified players (IMPORTANT!)

- You are to report punctually for the event. Lateness will not be tolerated and subjected to penalties.
- If you cannot attend the event, please contact me at 98449590.
- Casual dressing (Yes, slippers are allowed now because of the change in venue).
- You are to hand in your decklist if you are playing on the Sep 11 (all winners of the qualifiers and all who advanced in the Sep 10 event). Decklist template can be found here (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10998428/DECK%20LIST.xls).

Sep 10 Event

- Only open to players who attained 2nd to 4th placing in the SG Showdown Qualifier events
- Entry will be free to these players
- Top 8 players will proceed to the Sep 11 Grand Event

Format

1. Swiss pairings using Mantis/Computerized Pairing System

2. 4 to 5 rounds Swiss pairings (40 Minutes per Swiss Match)

3. Top 8 determined from final standings

Sep 11 Grand Event

- Joined by the 8 winners of the 8 qualifiers, together with the top 8 players from the Sep 10 Event
- Door Gift: Deck Box + 1 2009 TP4

Prizes

1st: Air Ticket + Hotel to Taiwan (3D2N) [Joining the representative for the Asia Championship 2012. ONLY ALLOWED TO JOIN SIDE EVENTS]
2nd: 1 PHSW Box + 20 packs EXP4 + 1 Playmat + 3 Packs Sleeves
3rd: 1 PHSW Box + 12 packs EXP4 + 1 Playmat + 2 Packs Sleeves
4th: 1 PHSW Box + 1 Playmat + 1 Pack Sleeves
5th to 8th: 1 SD + 1 Playmat + 1 Pack Sleeves
9th to 16th: 2 Packs Sleeves + 2 Orange Packs

Format

1. Single Elimination Format

2. 40 Minutes per Match

3. Top 16 playoffs

Rules (both days)

1. Min 40 cards Max 60 cards, Side deck of up to 15 cards, Extra Deck of 0 to 15 cards.
2. Time limit of each match: 40 mins
3. No Fake cards or Proxys allowed in the event.
4. 1st SEP 2011 OCG Ban and Restricted list used in Tournament.
5. 19th March 2011 Priority Ruling in effect.
6. All language of Yugioh cards allowed in Tournament including TCG exclusive.
7. The side of your Protector showing your card must be TRANSPARENT.
8. All standard rules of Trading Card Games.

Lucky Draw

- Ranges from starter decks, packs (EXP2, PHSW, PP13, TP1, TP2), sleeves (Junk, Zexal), dice (the limited edition ones), playmats and deckboxes
- Required to buy from the shop to participate

Mini Tournament (10 Sep)

- Held by Ah Kit : Details Here

Ranking Tournament (11 Sep)

- Registration: 1400 - 1430
- Start: 1430

i believe baha is not the ONLY judge in singapore, and not the ONLY judge that is supposed to be running the main event.

Agree with Vishal. Expo would have been more epic and grand. But then again, logistics are a setback, so I guess having free entry would be enough.

Looks like qualifying now is something of the past!

On that day, are any cards allowed as if playing in the local tournaments? E.g DT non-reprints, comic book promos, game promos?

Poor johann now travels 1hr plus by train to reach bishan instead of 5 mins walk to expo
All cards should be allowed like previous showdowns, its rather sept or march bl

The last qualifier is over. The following players will be joining the previous 7 rounds of qualified players in the main event.

when need submit the decklist?

Just asking a qns, if i make it to top 8 on saturday, am i entitled to change my deck list for 2nd day?

All top 16 players who made it to day 2 (Sep 11) of the event will be required to hand in their decklist on the day itself.
