hey folks, we bought 10 more tables today to fit in more players. (need YGO posters to mark the segmented area!)

i Hope to see some tourneys happening here in 2 weeks time, but i'havent got to speak to any of the judges yet.

- Can someone tell me how the TO/Judges work ?

- How long does a tourney last for size of about 16 players ?

- Do players like low entry price , low prize or higher entry price, attractive payout ? I see the event fees listed here cost between 6~10$

- Do the TO/Judges collect and post decklist for such tournaments? Speaking from Magic perspective, the community like to see what are the strong decks that win the tourneys so they can prepare their side deck accordingly. For example : http://gameshaven.com.sg/portal/?q=node/33

Truth be told, I myself think that most of the players would not share their decklist for any tournament

I think share decklist is fine, but people rarely post their side deck lol.

Anyway, it depends on the format of the tournament, elimination obviously the fastest but super unfriendly and people avoid this format.

Swiss is more preferred as players get "more chance" in a sense that once they die they still have a chance to get into top 16/8 round.
And time is kinda hard to estimate, it really depends on how fast the organizer pairs the people up together and stuff like that. Maybe you could observe some of the tourneys, be it Thousand Taste or Excel CS' tourneys.

Anyway the shop looks great and aircon in a spacious place sounds AWESOME!
and its easily accessible! Circle line ftw.
Hope the shop gets more ygo duelists!

If yes then it will be another good place for players to find the cards they need~

For Magic, drafting happens every day.

Constructed (which YGO plays) happens on every saturday, with a monthly huge event that happens on a sunday

I was there on both Saturday & Sunday and saw 2 guys playing in the afternoon (not sure if they were the same people on both days). I wonder if they are anyone from this forum. Maybe next time I will walk over and say "hi"!

As for Gamehaven, I would really like to go, but End of Years are coming up, and I've made promises of not going outside for Tourneys until they are over. =X

We wanted to pop by the store last Thursday, but we were running late for our tournament, so we rushed off to Khatib. Spent too much time fun dueling at Paya Lebar JJ. =X
