Example lah, if we play flame hell how? I left 500lp, he left 1000lp and I want to use flame hell for double KO. What happen boss?

Means you decide who plays first, 2nd and 3rd when you register and have to stick with it throughout, or you decide after you see your opponent but before the actual games begin?

personally, i think the current format has a few rules that can be improved.

1. only the upcoming player whose team has just lost the last round is allowed to side deck.
2. HP caps at 8000, with +2000 regeneration after 1 round.

i'll just give an example.
team A: A1 A2 A3
team B: B1 B2 B3

(after A1 won B1)
now B2 will follow up with a after-side deck against A1 who can't side deck.
it's likely that B2 will win, given side deck advantage and likely HP advantage.

(after B2 won A1)
now B2's deck is tuned to beat A1, and now A2 follows up with after-side deck against B2.
and B2's deck has all the wrong cards in deck against A2 since it's tuned to beat A1 earlier on.
with side deck advantage and B2's deck having "less-useful" cards.
A2 will stand a very high chance to win B2.

(after A2 won B2)
and now B3 follows up with the same problem as above. so he'll likely to win A2

(after B3 won A2)
and the loop continues.... A3 won B3 and the match.


conclusion, by winning the 1st game will likely win you the match.
and also the duel with wrong side deck against a right side deck, i feel it's "a break off" from a normal duel.

probably you may go into the details of adjusting your side deck against the deck you're going to play against to be not so extreme. in order to give you a better chance to win your next opponent, who already has a side deck advantage against you.
e.g. your opponent is a lightlord, you want to side in light imprisonment mirror. but you know after you win this game, your light imprisonment mirror will likely to be "useless" for your next opponent. so you may not side in light imprisonment mirror but other not so extreme cards. hence, the whole match is too mutated due to this rule.

i'm sure there're people who realised this and thinking of way to use this to own advantage.
but the point is that winning your 1st game will likely to win you the whole match, due to over-mutated side deck limitation.

there's no real problem with this like the above one, and this rule by itself supports an AK (all kill). aka 1 player won all 3 players.
probably more team tournament friendly factor can be added to this.
i'll give a suggestion below.

the below team tournament format is played by old DMC members in the past, and was fine tuned after many tested formats.
and i recommend it.

same thing, 3 players aside, KOF format.
(A1 vs B1, then A1 vs B2 etc... just like above)
the team with all 3 players knocked out lost the match.

after 1 game, both players who will be playing against each other will BOTH be ALLOWED to side deck accordingly.
this will balance the playing field and won't fall into the above "bug".
of course, when A1 vs B1 during the 1st game, both will play without any side deck.
it's the same as normal 1v1 duel whereby after 1st round, both players are allowed to side deck accordingly.

as for the HP cap after winning your opponent.
the format was later stablised as below after fine tuning:

after winning your 1st opponent, you will have a HP cap of 7000 and +2000 regeneration.
e.g. left with 3000, you start with 5000 in the next game. (3000 + 2000 = 5000)
e.g. left with 5500, you start with 7000 in the next game. (5500 + 2000 = 7500, but cap at 7000)
e.g. left with 9000, you start with 7000 in the next game. (9000 + 2000 = 11000, but cap at 7000)

if you manage to win your 2nd opponent, you will have a HP cap of 6000 and +2000 regeneration.
e.g. left with 3000, you start with 5000 in the next game. (3000 + 2000 = 5000)
e.g. left with 5500, you start with 6000 in the next game. (5500 + 2000 = 7500, but cap at 6000)
e.g. left with 9000, you start with 6000 in the next game. (9000 + 2000 = 11000, but cap at 6000)

this is to increase the difficulty for AK (all kill), at the same time not to rob away the chance for that.
AK is one of the "core" interesting part in a KOF format, and it's a joy to watch. (unless you're at the receiving end of it. lol)

the above format is tested and played for a decent period of time in the past and enjoyed by many players.

what is the reason behind the rule of not allowing the 1st player to side?

so it doesn't "restrict AK" in a sense.

If scare specific abuse den restict straight into the face -> I remember last time there is a Team tourney the organiser restrict the 'chain burn' deck for balance game play . Its quite agreeable by all participants under tat situation.

regarding banning specific decks, specific cards are usually being banned for some tournaments in japan instead.
it's usually to ban metagame decks' cards, e.g. ban lumina, mezuki, sirocco, bestiari. in order to create an atmosphere for more innovative decks.

as for this tournament, it's hard to ban specific deck because you may have problem to label a deck as being the deck(s) you want to ban. therefore, you ban specific cards, if you want to.

as for self destruction button is now being considered a lost to the player who activate it. rather than "changing" a card's effect, just ban it since you don't it to be used in tournament.

Actually boss, it should be the people who enter, meaning like Team B player 2 come in cannot side deck, and Team A player 1 who survived can side deck.

For Team A player 1, it is because maybe his LP is low, he want to change strategy because the Team B will already know it, etc. Like last time I got franken, my lp is already below 5k even after adding back the 2k. You restrict that I cant side deck might as well just give me game loss better. (I last time always the first player one. That is not the food position, but the forward attack for the team position, lol)

On opposite, the Team B player 2 cannot side, because he has already seen the Team A player 1 how he play and know how to counter him. Not to mention like this all the side deck should put burn cards better. If my opponent only left 2k+ lp when I fight him, I side deck 3 flame hell, 3 old man poison even better? Not to mention the idea is that you have to fight him with your original build, and not some teams will come up with special side decks for this kind of situations, yes boss?

I last time play always first one lor. Never changed for any team / KOF tourney.

then player A1 wins player B1 with 2000 lp left

recovers 2000lp

then now player A1 vs player B2

player A1 wins with 3000lp 1st time then the 2nd time player A1 against player B2.Will player A1 lp be 3000 or go bak to 8000?
