Additional Information --------------------------- 1 Duelists must write and and submit their deck list/register with SGDuelist membership card to person-in-charge upon registration. 2 The Tournament is using March 2009 Banned List (Advanced Format). 3 Both TCG/OCG cards can be used in this tournament. 4 Both ASIA and UPPER TCG cards are allowed, but no TCG EXCULSIVES. 5 Only genuine Yu-Gi-Oh Cards are allowed in this tournament. 6 Players retain the right to confirm rulings with judges/organizer. 7 Organizer and Head Judge retain all rights to disqualify any players whose behavior is of misconduct and/or for rule violations. 8 No changing of decklist until tournament is declared over. 9 Thousand Taste Trading will not take responsibility for any item loss. For all further enquiries: Contact +6583696283 (Davin/Kyoju) Rules for KOF - The game would be played in the KOF ( King of Fighter ) style. - Each team will select a representative to face off against a representative from the opponent’s team. - The winner would continue to stay as the representative for the team until he or she is defeated. The goal of the team is to knock-out all of the representatives of the opponent’s team. - Life Points would be retained after each duel, but the field will be cleared. - During each interval (after every duel), ALL team members of both sides may side deck. Eg.: Player Liu Hao (Team A) beats Weemin (Team B) , retaining an LP of 3000. He or she would have to play with the same LP for the second round as Team B sends out another representative. Although , cards on Player A's field would be cleared and reshuffled back into his or her deck, similar to a fresh duel , the player will be now with a significant LP disadvantage. - Each round would be 1 match. - The winning team is determined when the opposing team has no more representatives to be sent out to duel. - Card effects and Rulings would still be as per normal for individual duels.

| Sazabi has went off to sleep, and will update with better rulings tomorrow. Meanwhile, the SGDuelists blog will continue to update with a more accurate ruling for the tournament. | |

| Read the blog. It's easier to understand with that. Besides, we DO have normal tourneys, but too much of it makes it mundane, and boring. | |

Oh ya, question. Would we need to like, number ourselves beforehand, or can we choose representatives after seeing our opponent?

| For you guys who were not playing Yu-Gi-Oh before it stopped. There used to be a tourney similiar to this format weekly held in the old AMK Funz Centre. It was quite a big thing, and its not easy to perform week in week out. | |

| Actually, it did not really stopped. It just slowed down, but there were still players playing it.
I am pretty sure most of the amk players would know of this format. This was a favourite past time for many of the amk players in McDonalds.

| just a recommendation to improve the game play.
when a player wins in a round, he'll add a certain amount of hp before the start of next game. the reason is to balance the game, e.g. you played a solemn judgement. and you may say "lets not play this card then", so it kinda spoils it slightly. and you may confirm see some 'cheat win', and dark dive bomber in the 1st turn? so in order to balance the game and yet keep the fun of the KOF style, here is the suggestion.
for e.g. player A won with 3000 hp left. he starts the next round with a +2000 hp. thus, he starts next round with 5000 hp, while opponent will obviously be 8000 hp. a hp cap will be installed too, e.g. you win with 7000 hp left, you don't start the next round with 7000 + 2000 = 9000 hp.
recommendation: +2000 hp to the left over hp of the player who won the round. and a hp cap of 7000. (another word, if you win with 8000, you still go to next round with 7000)

(another word, if you win with 8000, you still go to next round with 7000) If we let the winner gain some life points, it won't be that fair to the other players too. My suggestion is, players should all side deck some defensive cards, e.g. Rainbow Life, Des Wombat, w/e in order to protect their life points, so each move will be made carefully and people won't just spam and abuse cards.

Would you mind explaining your answer? I don't see anyway in which a slow-paced deck would stand to gain from such a format.

| It actually doesn't really make a difference as you still have more members behind you. The person in front, after defeating one person, should have quite little life. His job then is just to damage opponent as much as he can, to make things easier for next player. Though if the player can still manage to knock the next player out, then it's all the better lol. | |

| Yishun Tourney is suddenly change to the same date as the Jurong Tourney , If there is a need to postpone , Should it be the organiser of Yishun Tourney to postpone? Or should you ,the organiser of the Jurong Tourney to decidde to postpone?
You decide yourself since you are the organiser .
The decisions is yours to make, but try let us know whether is it postpone so that we can have enough time to form deck for specific Tourneys.

| Kyoju I think you just be firm in your reply. I see all ambiguous replies. You just tell us, got or not. Simple. The turnouts will see how. In addition, for the sake of those who wish to compare prizes. You might want to roughly outline what might be the prize in terms of your anticipated turnout. | |

| To everyone, I dun think many ppl frm yishun will travel to jurong for this tourney and likewise for jurong to yishun, with a few exceptions, such as banana. But I still believe that it is mostly for convenience and not really for the prizes as our prize cant compare with theirs | |

However imo, there isn't a need to postpone ur tournament even if another tournament is being organized on the same day, however its ur choice though =).
Be firm so that people will not waste up their time actually preparing for your tournament =).
PS. Not flaming here! |

| Seems like there were supposedly to be 2 teams joining your tournament, if you held it. Anyway, as what many in this thread has already stated, postponing your tourney in the face of other tourneys being held on the same day may not be a good idea. I feel that your concept here is interesting and a good way for many to enjoy. As for the other tourney, I can see a battleground there for the DT05 cards. As for prizes, I think a box for the first place winners should be alright. No need to really get fancy and better prizes. | |

You really shouldn't postpone it just because of other tournaments. I get that you want good turnouts, but even with the other tournament , people will still come for this. Or is it because you yourself are going for the DT05 one?
