I asked silentciel and he said most prob can use korean cards. And to winkles, most prob beginners dun have a large amount of capital pumped into this game, so in order to use better cards at a cheaper price, they most prob will buy korean cards

not sure if the boss wants to hold another. will help you ask, info will be out sometime mid of next week.

As for side deck issue. There won't be side decking as to make the game more simple and to focus more on the main deck game play.

P.S I got top 8 although the prize wasn't that great and it doesn't earn me bragging rights since it was a mini-tourney specifically targeted towards the beginner and FUN deck levels only. Although, I can't deny that putting together a deck based SOLELY on gambling, dice roles and coin flips BY MYSELF WITHIN A DAY before this tournament which was actually able to make it to the top 8 should prove that my luck isn't so "epic fail" now, is it?

@fireowners: wow, so fierce? == i think organizer should put a rule that says: If you use a deck, E.G. Glads, it must be a different build that no one had used before. like.. no prisma glads/tiger glads etc. idk how it would go but this is my 2 cents worth of opinion

He did reduce the power of the deck by limiting the use of 1 chariot onli and removing equite totally. Ya. And if I rmb correctly, 20 ppl played. And winner was machina deck I tink. 2nd was chapalan synchro (AKA wif priest of the sun used by iosmk) deck and 3rd was a thor/odin deck

no. the 1st who win is actually the six sam deck. machina deck was beaten by me , so he didnt get the full 3 wins. the six sam deck won 2 rounds. and the last round when he is supposed to play, the guy who cheated (u know the one who use kara machina plant without reporting the snchro pile). the six sam deck guy is paired with that guy. and so SIlentciel make the karakuri guy auto loss since he cheated. so te six sam guy walkover. i won all the matches 2-0, but because he walkover, his average playing time is faster than me. so he won the 1st prize. and i won second. lucky bastard lol. oh well, though when he open his storm of ragnarok sp edition, it fails.

i think mantis isnt really fair as they calculate time too. if you are playing control deck and someone is playing OTK deck, while both of them get all perfect win, the OTK deck will win as they have lesser average playing time. so i dont really think its fair. they shldnt count time lor, if they dont count, i think fireowners and i will share the 1st/2nd place, and the six sam guy will get 3rd place as he walkover. oh well, its over, let it be.

i think organizers will improve on the formats etc. Its their first time holding this kind of 'dueling basics' tourney. Give 'em more time.

Well, it has nothing to do whether its their 1st time hosting this tournament because MANTIS system is also used for the normal CM tournaments

Have you ever think that what if all the results are being keyed in at the same time. Will the time factor be apart of ur tie breaker then? Not only does mantis looks at time, there's other factors to consider too, an example will be the opponents that you have defeated or lost to.

Someone actually cheated at a "Dueling Basics" tournament? LOL!? He probably wanted to join "Cheating Basics" but no one host.

After Silentciel did a deckcheck for him in the beginning of the tournament, he added in some other synchros which were not in his extra deck when Silentciel did the deckcheck. (Burei and bureido) Therefore he ended up using a full set of karakuri synchros in a karakuri machiner plant deck....

aiya this is the basics lar... cheating is part of the game.
