[Completed]Dueling Basics Tournament!! 3rd April 2011 Sunday

Good Day All Duelists!! We welcome all Duelist just starting out or trying out crazy deck ideas~
This tournament is to teach and build up new/duelist on the basis of the game.

To balance out the tournament, we will be checking your decks for level playing.

There will be a door gift of a surprise card for every entry!!

Venue: CardmasterGames (Singapore), Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station, inside J Cube Games
Time: 3pm (Register starts at 1pm)
Entry Fee: $3
Format: Run by our friendly Cardmaster staff and friends

Prizes:
[7 and less]
-TG power Gladiator (Jap)
-Shooting star Dragon (Eng)
-Earth bound God Aslla Piscu (Jap)
-Dreadscythe Harvester (Eng)

[8 and more]
-Life stream dragon (Jap)
-Gandora the Dragon of Destruction (Eng)
-1 movie pack (Jap)
-STOR Special ED box (Eng)

Rules:
1. Main Deck of Min: 40 cards - Max: 60 cards, Side Deck of 0 to 15 cards, Extra Deck of 0 to 15 cards.
2. Following latest ban list.
3. The New Ignition Piority Ruling will be applied in the Tournament.
4. Only Original Konami Japanese/English/Korean/Chinese Version Official Card Game to be used in the Tournament.
5. Players have to use same color protectors for all Decks.
9. All standard rules of Trading Card Games.
10. The Tournament is open to all Duelists of the beginning level.

Only beginners can join? What if you're experienced but using a really weird deck that makes people go WTF?

how do u determine/define " BEGINNING LEVEL " ? like skilled players can use normal decks to win newbs with good decks. and cards language ruling ... will result in lesser participants ( just my opinion )

can use pre made structure decks ?

They say they will check right? I think is ok ba since they enforce checking

probably those with Trishula will not be considered noobs.

i dun think that those wif trishula is not noob.ppl nowadays are very rich and can afford to buy anything since it is paid by their parent.

ever if a guy is pro and uses a wild deck,he could just own everyone wif skill of it own,so i dun think checking deck can tell it they are noobs or pros

TS: How do you determine Beginner and Old bird players?

Let me give you an example, a player who usually loses in a small tournament won the World Championship one day ( I believe a lot of people has someone in mind, be it from old days and recent or whatever case), however many players would not agree the someone to be a champion since he always loses in small tournament and displays no skillls at all, he WON because LADYLUCK was with him that day. I believe everyone has that certain someone in mind.

So in this case do you still consider him/her as a champion as you won him countless times but he was fortunate enough to win the title of champion?

Agreed that a lot of players are rich players, so they own expensive and useful cards unlike the commoners, so rich people are PROs? If so, why do some people borrow cards from those "pros", win tournaments but the credit goes to the person who lent him those hundred bucks card? Of course you have to be thankful to your friends who lent you cards in order to win.

Just my 1 cent worth of words.

How about all join and increase the fees for better prizes?
Or stick to $3 but unfabulous prize, fair.

You cant determine beginner and pro just by ... seeing.

Take Sam for example, he was a beginner once, he also made mistakes when he joined in 2009 ( or 2008 which I forgotten)
but now he climbed to the top. So how?

U can never judge fairly how pro or noob a person is, just by the deck they use... What I suggest is let participants use decks which displays their creativity, as well as remove the use of side decks...
U can even go to the extent of only allowing people to play anime character decks, with the inclusion of staples. That will make it fun. But for obvious reasons, Mr Crow Hogan's deck is banned.....

anyways lots of your are asking about how we consider a deck as acceptable for this tourney,
very simple!! As long as the deck is not based off any online or well known deck builds.

means you must run cards that combo each other which is your own original deck idea.

No offense but great minds think alike, especially when they chose certain types to use, eg 6 samurai, smart ones will end up more or less the same wat, dun even nid see ppl decklist cos there are limited cards to use in a set. :X then smart newbies cnt join.

its usually the pros who make their own deck idead new ppls just copy most of the new guys i know play agent angels and six sam

is it possible to use diff sets of protectors (1 for Deck, 1 for Side Deck, 1 for Extra Deck)?

I asked silentciel and he said most prob can use korean cards. And to winkles, most prob beginners dun have a large amount of capital pumped into this game, so in order to use better cards at a cheaper price, they most prob will buy korean cards
