yes u can.and the offering to the snake deity will have effect unless the offering is just set that turn

And for Offering to the Snake Deity, you must be able to destroy all 3 targets, if you lose one of your targets, the entire effect is gone. Also, if the Reptile is flipped face-down, the effect will also disappear.

Sorry about asking being a newbie in YGO but what do you mean by the entire eff is gone? and the rest of the line ... could you please explain it for me ??

But I though Icarus attack can use a face down winged beast?

read the effect of both cards and u should know why.

Offering to the Snake Deity and Icarus Attack are two very different cards, as seen from their text.
You should not extrapolate any rulings from each other.

It's hard to explain, but to summarize it, Icarus Attack requires you to TRIBUTE a Winged-Beast monster as its cost FIRST before you activate the effect. For Offering to the Snake Deity, destroying your own Reptile with two other cards is part of its effect and happens simultaneously, destroying your Reptile is not a cost. Also, the text of Offering to the Snake Deity requires you to destroy the Reptile FACE-UP, and if one of the targets including your own Reptile can not be destroyed, the entire effect is no longer applied. Meaning there is no more destruction.

And icarus attack you can destroy your own cards =)

to escape starlight road, or u can starlight road yourself.
