Exceed rulings

My opponent has 2 gadgets on the field and a gozen match, can he exceed hope? Can he exceed zen meister? Same for rivalry with the 2 exceed mobs. Pls help clarify ty

Yes he can. 2 gadgets are both Earth attribute and machine type. Thus it is not affected by gozen and rivarly. When he exceeds Hope, he stacks them together and Hope is the only monster present on the field (provided there are no any other monsters on his field). Exceed materials are not considered to be on the field therefore he is not controlling monsters with other attributes or types. Same goes for zenmeister. Hope it helps.

You cannot perform the action to change into another type/subtype even though it doesnt exist on the field yet.

so its rulings are similar to syncro for rivalry and gozen?
