Machina Fortress vs A.O.J Catastor

What happens when A.O.J Catastor attacks Machina fortress? can i activate the effect of machina tt's destroyed by battle?

Does Catastor destroy Machina Fortress by battle? Since its attack is apparently 2200 as opposed to Machina Fortress' 2500, obviously not.

But can be destroyed by effect... So you can use the 2nd effect of fortress...

AOJ Catastor vs Fortress
AOJ Catastor effect kicks in, and destroys it before damage calculation. Not destroy by battle, therefore first effect fail.
Also, since AOJ Catastor effect does not target, 2nd effect fail as well.

Catastor is not so godlike against AHA after all! Not sure how I could have missed it last time. Source fromhere.

Therefore, if the same Fortress is equipped with, say a Gearframe. Gearframe gets destroyed before damage calculation due to AOJ Catastor effect, however, they then enter damage calculation, and Fortress kills Catastor due to its 2500 attack points over Catastor 2200 attack points.

out of point but its a epic tech card for machina.

most players claim that catastor destroy both cards while machina fortress is equiped with gearframe. is that really the case? it kinda confuse me when they say that..

erm if aoj attack machina but machina user uses waboku will machina fortress die?

Waboku prevents battle damage. Does AOJ's effect does battle damage? That answers your question
