GB special summoned by darius effects are negated rite?
but can the monsters(called by darius) return to deck after attacking?
as shuffling back to deck is a cost, so can the GB eg laquari returns back to deck to call out another??

GLADIATOR BEAST DARIUS
The "Gladiator Beast" monster Special Summoned by "Gladiator Beast Darius" is continually targeted by its effect.

Returning the Special Summoned "Gladiator Beast" monster to the Deck does not start a Chain.

If the Special Summoned "Gladiator Beast" attacks or is attacked, it can be returned to the Deck to activate its effect, but the effect will be negated by "Gladiator Beast Darius".

While "Skill Drain" is active, if "Gladiator Beast Darius" is removed from the field, the Special Summoned "Gladiator Beast" monster will remain on the field. If the Special Summoned "Gladiator Beast" monster attacks or is attacked, and it is returned to the Deck to activate its effect, the effect will not be negated because "Gladiator Beast Darius'" effects are being negated by "Skill Drain".

When "Gladiator Beast Darius" is flipped face-down, its effect disappears and the effects of the Special Summoned "Gladiator Beast" monster are no longer negated. If "Gladiator Beast Darius" is removed from the field while face-down, the Special Summoned "Gladiator Beast" monster will not be returned to the Deck.

If "Bottomless Trap Hole" is chained when "Gladiator Beast Darius" is Special Summoned and activates its effect, the selected "Gladiator Beast" monster is still Special Summoned and its effects are negated.

The translation says it all. Keyword is bold.

Put it simple,the effect of the gbeast being called out will stills be negated by darius's effect whether darius is or is not on the field .

i tink jess has covered mostly but eg darius call back laquari.
laquari attacks, after battle phase, can laquari returns for another GB?
or just laquari returns but nth comes out.

Actually, not only that triggered effect is negated. The first effect of a gladial beast (When this card is special summoned through an effect of a Gladial Beast) is also being negated. =)

cos i seen players calling out the super big tiger and use its effect to negate trap and magics!!

they oso use big bird effect's to return to deck, but they didnt use 1st effect to destroy cards la thats for sure...

I think he was refering that Heraklinos was called out by Darius effect And people is using heraklinos effect negating magic and traps.

Darius has a simple ruling. When its face up, the targetted GB's effect is negated. When its turned face down, wala! the GB special summoned will have its effect.

The GB special summoned by Darius can be return to deck because its a cost to return to a deck. It never said that the GB "return to deck" effect cannot be activated. So as a cost it returns to the deck and special summons the gb, with its effect negated by Darius as usual.

um no.i was asking can the monster summoned by darius be changed for another gb from the deck? i shouldnt have used the word "slave"

i thought that since the gb no longer on the field,darius canot affect it and it can summon another gb. (ya its wrong)

The effect for the Gbeast will stills be negated if the gbeast is in deck/field/grave. UnLeSs things like 'book of moon' reset the darius's effect.

let say i special summon darius via a gbeast effect, and its effect activate to grab a beasteri to the field.

chain 1-target beasteri
chain 2-Book of moon on darius

when it resolve, do beasteri get effect to destroy a M/T card?

sry to pull out this thread, but 1 question related to darius therefore i decided to get this thread back.

i understand that the monster summon by darius will have effect activated if book of moon is used on darius, but we change a scenario of activating book of moon/Bottomless on the special summoned gb instead. Will it b negated by darius.

What I feel is that gb that is summoned by darius would haf its effect negated even if its send back to deck to activate its effect. So in the case of book of moon or bottomless, it should be the same ending, NEGATED because darius negates e effect regardless where the monster is. Please prove me wrong X-]

To further elebrate it.

1. Summon Darius via another gb
2. Activate Effect pull out bestari
3. Bestari activates effect
4. Chain icarus, tribute bestari to grave
5. Destroy 2 cards via icarus
6. Bestari activate effect destroy. <------------- True/False

as long as he remains face up on the field with the Special Summoned GB:
- The Continuous Effect(s) of the GB that he Special Summoned is negated. (Laquiri does not gain 300 ATK.)
- Any effects that the monster may have that activate on the field are negated. (Secutor's Special Summoning 2 GBs, Samnite adding a GB to hand will be negated, all GB tag outs, etc. will be negated.)
- Any effects that activate off the field will not be negated. (Subject to be updated: There currently doesn't exist any GB eff of this nature).
If the GB that Darius Special Summoned is flipped face down, it will no longer have its effects negated. If Darius is flipped face down, the monster's effects will not be negated.

If Darius is not face-up on the field when his effect resolves (e.g. Mirror of Oaths is Chained to his effect), the targeted GB monster is still Special Summoned and its effects are not negated.

Tagging out is a cost, therefore the gb special summon by darius will not be on e field to be negated. But e rule is they cannot tag out which also means their effects r negated. So somehow it contridict the following stance.

oh, all along i thot the gb special summon by darius couldn even tag for another monster.

tagging is a cost to activate the effect which Special Summons another "Gladiator Beast" monster from your Deck.

hence for darius case, you can still tag the monster special summoned by darius, that monster stays in the deck and nothing comes out.
